MEET THE STAFF

Jack was born in Knoxville in 1959 and has lived in Blount County since 1963.  He graduated from Alcoa HS in 1977. Jack is a licensed optician and owner of Jack Raby Optical. He began his career working and training with Holder Optical in Alcoa.  Soon after passing the TN State Board exam and receiving his TN optical dispensing license he opened Jack Raby Optical in its present location in June 1981. Jack is also certified by the American Board of Opticianry and is a member of the TN Dispensing Opticians Association.

Donna began in the optical field working and training at Pearle Vision Center in 1984.  She passed the TN state board exams in 1988 to become a TN licensed dispensing optician. Donna is also certified by the American Board of Dispensing Opticians and the National Contact Lens Examiners and is a member of the TN Dispensing Opticians Association. Donna joined the staff of Jack Raby Optical in June of 1998.  

Kayla has been an optician since 2012 and joined our staff in September of 2021. She brought years of experience to our team after having taught in the Optical program at Roane State in Harriman. We are so excited to have her as part of our team.

Erin joined the staff of Jack Raby Optical early summer 2020 as an apprentice optician. Erin entered the apprecnticeship program in 2019 and plans to become a licensed optician. She is a full time member of our staff while also attending Pellissippi State. In fact she was recently nominated into the National Society of Leadership and Success. Erin is a great addition to our team!
